Explorer operation (2000-10-21)

"This craft has never performed better !"

After working hard in rather pleasent autumn weather it was finally time to do a test drive!
Everything adjusted and (hopefully) functioning i lift my Explorer on cushion and headed to river. It had been almost a month since last operation so it was again little exciting to watch trees and gauges.

But changes we had made actually had improved the overall performance of this craft. Engine really ran smoothly and responded to throttle quickly. One thing i noticed was that when driving alone the bow ports are NOT so efficient when there is two people or more on board. Well, luckily riverside vegetation is not as strong in fall as it was in late summer so Explorer cleared a way back to river... Otherwise i would have been stucked in rather difficult placed.

After doing few solo pirouettes it was time to give rides to my helpers. Sun was inevitably setting down and it's always windy or at least bumpy in more open bays at this time of year, so just a few quick tours around closest island and back to hoverport. No pics or video as this was just a personal reward for me and "the crew" for working hard allday.
Allthough it would have been quite nice to record some footage of us passing "Mr. and Mrs. Swan" when they never paid much attention to us, just barely turning the other way when we passed them. There were no boaters out there, only people we saw were lifting up their boats for the winter.
