Tackling the overheating problems
After changing the new engine and re-routing the radiator hoses there was still over hating issue that needed to be taken care of.

Three things that we were going to check: is the temp gauge OK, new radiator and removing thermostat.

We started by changing in a new radiator. And i mean new, not second hand unit, but absolutely brand new Volvo unit. For this i had to drain the cooling system, remove one of the fans and crawl inside the fan bay. After doing it few times it's not a biggie anymore, but when doing it the first time i had hard time to get in and out...
Expenses at this point were minimal since radiator is borrowed from my brother from his drag racer project just to see if it makes the difference.

Changing radiator was quite easy task with the rack i made for it when changing it last time. Pretty soon i was able to climb back to open air, but not before i taped a auxliary temp sensor to top hose with duct tape. We had a multimeter capable of  temperature measuring to check the readings of coolant temp gauge.

We filled the system and new system seemed to be smaller in volume than the previous one which worried me a bit. I hooked the multimeter to sensor cable and taped it to fan bay wall so i could see it while operating the craft.

I wasn't totally happy with the previously modified throttle system and did a minor enhancement to the system prior to test drive. Also i adjusted the system for more accurate operation and now it feels quite good. Time to test how it all works.

I started the engine and took off...
