Soft top

After full working day it was time to do another 30km (~19miles) one way trip to hoverport and start figuring how the soft top should be put together. We only had about 2 hours effective working time before it would get too dark to do anything outside. I had prepared something for this and we managed to get started rather quickly.

First we placed the two bows in planned positions so that there would be max height of 160cm (5'3") at the highest place. Perhaps i should have done a short test drive with bows in place to see whether i can operate with bows in place or not, but there wasn't time for that. I just tested the operating the craft while it was standing still.
After we pleased with bow positions we just placed the vinyl material on the top of bows and marked bow lines. We left plenty of reserve to back for final trimming of the top. I'm planning to make this top first in two larger pieces and then fit those places into craft and then draw remaining pieces and how these two large pieces will be fitted together.

For the last half an hour we had to work by holding the lamp on the other hand and doing whatever there was to do with the other - not very efficient but that's just how it is right now.

I'm not sure if i'm going to have these few seams welded today or tomorrow. Weather forecast says rain, rain, rain for the whole week so there's propably not going to be possibilities to fit pieces to craft until next weekend perhaps.
